Request For Comments on Bird Strike Requirements
On July 20, 2015 the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requested comments on the need for, and the possible scope of, changes to the bird strike certification requirements for transport category airplanes.
The FAA is not currently proposing a specific regulatory action, however they are considering whether to revise the requirements. The FAA invites comments relating to the technical or economic impact that might result from any changes to the current bird strike requirements.
